Self assessment deadline fast approaching

We are rapidly approaching the end of the year which means self assessments. A few things to think about that could save you time and money.


  1. Shop around. Like any service there are plenty of people that offer online filing

  2. If possible, list all your income and expenses on a spreadsheet. It doesn’t have to be fancy but it will save time which will reduce cost.

  3. Don’t wait until January. Accountants are extremely busy at self assessment time and will charge more to “fit you in” or worse won’t be able to help so you face a late filing penalty.

  4. Congratulate yourself for successfully running your business for another year!
